Thailand and Laos Ultimate Wildlife Eco-Tour

Type: Boutique Hotels, Spas, and Nature Lodges

Our Ultimate Wildlife itinerary specializes in small, one-of-a-kind boutique hotels, spas and nature lodges, particularly those which offer a very authentic Thai atmostphere, decor, style and service. Great care has gone into our selection of lodging partners, with particular emphasis on lodges that offer outstanding wildlife viewing opportunities. These breathtaking lodges offer all the comforts of home, including hot & cold water, flush toilets, tastefully decorated beds and delicious Thai cooked meals, sometimes extravagant, always healthy, and catering to special dietary needs.

Note that a choice of 2 days lodging or deep jungle camping is offered in Kaeng Krachan (your first stop on the itinerary).  Toward the end of the trip, the Laos gibbon experience features incredibly unique rustic treehouses high up in the rainforest canopy, with specially designed mattresses, mosquito canopys, kithchen, sink, shower and toilet!

Baan Chantra - Bangkok

Image
Baan Chantra- Bangkok
This charming boutique hotel is a mere 30 minutes from the international airport in Bangkok.  It is perfect if you are arriving early or staying a day late and need a clean, quiet hotel in a safe area close to the airport (we make the arrangements for you at our special rate.) Baan Chantra is an especially unique small boutique hotel with only 6 rooms and some distinct advantages to other airport hotels. The owner is an incredibly friendly and helpful Thai woman who speaks excellent English and has a flair for authentic Thai asthetics and decor. On a practical level, Baan Chantra located only 5 blocks from the bustle of Kao San Road, a a popular night bazaar packed with the excitement of nightlife, endless food and great deals. These qualities give Baan Chantra a distinct advantage over many of the hotels around the airport which are commercial chain hotels with little character or charm.

Rest and relax in the standard rooms or choose to upgrade (in advance - please contact us) to large country home style units, three bedroom/two-bathroom suites, or a  cluster of nine Thai traditional style houses in the middle of a lake embraced by mountain ranges. This resort also features world class facilities and services.

Ko Talu Island Resort

Koh Talu is a private island in the Gulf of Thailand; only two beautiful resorts inhabit its unspoiled beaches. Coconut palms and verdant green tropical rainforest cover most of the island. The white sand beaches and shallow clear turquise waters are teeming with marine life, making it the perfect choice for our time on the islands. A healthy coral reef encircles the island, ideal for snorkeling, diving, kayaking, sailing, trekking or just  relaxing.

Yang Come - Room
The latest boutique hotel in in the center of Chiang Mai's old town, Yang Come is wrapped in the traditions and culture of the Tai Lue people of Xishuangbanna.  The rooms are spacious and very tastefully furnished. The beds are of solid teak, and the walls feature hand-painted murals, a different one for every room, depicting life in a typical Thai-Lue village in years gone by. The decor is made from local materials and hand crafted by Chiang Mai artisans; from the solid chairs and dressing tables to the teak and bamboo wardrobes. Truly a special lodge.

Tamarind Village - Chiang Mai

Tamarind Village
Our alternate hotel in Chaing Mai is the first boutique hotel in the old walled city and is of equal quality to Yang Come. Divided into three private courtyards, it was created as an ancient village which gives it an authentic feel of traditional ambiance. Facing inward into a tranquil atmosphere, Tamarind Village has an aura of calm serenity. A two hundred year-old tamarind tree --testament to peaceful quietude--highlights this ancient Lanna city's heavenly haven.
