Brazil TripsBrazil is one of the most diverse countries on earth. Home to the Pantanal- the world's largest wetlands, and the Amazon, the world's largest rainforest, as well as the spectacular Iguasu Falls, miles of pristine beaches, the carnival of Rio de Janero, and lesser known habitats of deserts, lakes and rivers. The heart of wildlife travel is centered around the Pantanal and the Amazon. It is far easier to see wildlife in the Pantanal than in the Amazon, which makes the Pantanal a favorite destination for wildlife lovers. Tiama Ecological Reserve and the Paraguay and Pixiam rivers are home to the largest concentration of jaguars on earth. Our trips average of 1.5 jaguars per day in this area, sometimes as many as 7, and often for extended periods of time as they hunt caiman by the riverside. In addition, fantastic up-close sightings of giant otter, hyacinth macaws, giant anteater and anaconda are daily occurances in the different areas of the Pantana that we explorel. A unique feature of Wild Planet's Brazil trips is seeing the transition of eco-systems from the Pantanal, the world's largest wetlands, to the Amazon, its largest rainforest. Wild Planet Adventures offers a variety of Brazil wildlife vacations and eco-tours to meet individual budgets and interests. Our 15-day itinerary "On the Jaguar's Trail – from the Pantanal to the Amazon is our most comprehensive, but we also offer custom trips for individuals, families, groups, organizations, travel agents, and special interest groups.
