Fofo - River Guide, Naturalist, Paramedic

Fofo, as his friends call him, is a paramedic, naturalist guide and acclaimed river guide. A native of Heredia, Fofo grew up paddling the best whitewater in the country, and has worked for many of Costa Rica's biggest tour operators before coming to Wild Planet. He is equally at home on whitewater or flatwater, but has a strong preference for each of the specific rivers that Wild Planet runs. Fofo's extensive knowledge of these rivers is the reason our "Paddler's Dream Trip" is a standout favorite itinerary of paddlers who want to run less-commercially run rivers.
