We also feature camps that are perfectly located so we can arrive in the crater before other travelers. The Crater floor is home to the largest concentration of mammals in Africa, including the Big 5

After a great breakfast you will be picked up by your private guide in your private vehicle and transfer to the famous Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is the worlds largest crater and also known as the Garden of Eden or the 8th wonder of the world. The Crater floor is home to the largest population of mammals including the big 5. Tanzania's few remaining black rhino are regularly sighted in the crater, as are large herds of buffalo. In the lake on the crater floor and in the swamps, reside plenty of hippos who remain partially submerged during the day and graze on grass at night. Apart from the crater itself you will also meet and Interact with the Maasai in a very genuine way and experience their tradition and lifestyle You will also visit Manyara National Park and walk amongst butterflies, monkeys and birds atop the first and longest tree-top walkway in Africa.

Day 4-7 Great Migration and Birthing Grounds: Serengeti National Park – Kusini Sector, Wildebeest Birthing

Depending on rain, the migration will be on the southern plains of Namiri, Ndutu, Kusini or Kakessio, in either the Southern Serengeti or the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Tanzania Lodging

-KILIMANJARO

Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge

Set in lush gardens amid forest and crystal-clear waters on the slopes of Mount Meru, Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge is a wonderful place to relax and simmer in the immense beauty of East Africa. Just 30 minutes from Kilimanjaro International Airport and Arusha town center, Ngare Sero is the ideal location to spend the day amid nature, watching the changing colors of the Kilimanjaro glaciers while sipping drinks on the verandah.

Originally built in 1905, the main house of the lodge still retains many of its original features and ornamental design with long colonial verandas stretching across the front of the house; the perfect spot to sit and watch the lake, monkeys, forest, and enjoy the grandeur of Mount Kilimanjaro. Furnished with stone benches and leather cushions, the lodge provides modern comforts amid antiques commemorating Tanzania’s German colonial past.

- NGORONGORO CRATER & HIGHLANDS

Asilia Highlands Camp

The Highlands redefines the Ngorongoro experience. Set on the edge of the mountain forest hugging the Olmoti volcano to the north of Ngorongoro Crater, The Highlands strikes a perfect balance between a true wilderness experience and a high-style, contemporary escape. Experience the highlands of the wild Ngorongoro Conservation Area surrounding camp, home to leopard, buffalo and elephant. The famous Ngorongoro Crater is easily accessible from camp, while the setting ensures maximum privacy, a rich adventure and a range of activities not possible elsewhere in Ngorongoro.

- SOUTHERN SERENGETI

Serian Serengeti South Camp

Serian’s Serengeti is a mobile camp, and from mid-December to May, the camp sets up on the southernmost extreme of the Serengeti’s short grass plains: prime position to spectate the wildebeest birthing season. Serian’s Serengeti South strikes the perfect balance between colonial camping style, and elegant accents of comfort – a home away from home. Each is complemented by tasteful décor that lends a touch of sumptuousness to the interiors. The en suite bathrooms include a bucket shower and a flushing toilet – classic safari simplicity with a nod to life’s little comforts.
